“I was walking past Salon Flourish right before the 2nd (or 3rd?) lock-down. I was looking at some of styling products in the window because of some serious Covid hair woes... Dry and in need of some love.

It was super busy so I wasn’t really expecting anyone to take notice but Karen, the owner, came outside and went through the different products they carried. She suggested some great shampoos and conditioners from the Davides line, an all natural brand made in Italy. I wasn’t ready to make a purchase so she offered some samples. The next day they closed their doors but she was so sweet and told me that if I needed anything she’d be able to get it for me. LOVED the line she recommended. She really knows her stuff when it comes to different hair types, which I appreciated.

I reached out a couple of weeks later and then stocked up on all of the things! The Davides line (if you haven’t already had a chance to try it) is AMAZING. Especially the hair oil.

I haven’t gotten my hair done here, but the service I did receive was exceptional and so 5 stars! I would suggest getting your hair done here if you’re looking for a stylist, or if you aren’t, know that this beautiful salon by the ocean carries pretty much anything you’ll need for your hair health.

So happy to have discovered this South Bay gem!

“This review is for April! Like my past visits, this was another great experience with Salon Flourish. As I said in my original review I always get nervous when seeing a new stylist for the first time. But I read great things about April on Yelp, and she put me at ease right away! I’ve had a lot of concerns about the health and appearance of my hair recently, and she very patiently listened to everything I had to say. She gave solid advice for each concern of mine (like what products to use, ways to style, etc). You can tell she knows what she’s doing! And as for the haircut, she took all of my concerns into account and made my hair look fuller and more alive without looking choppy. Which is exactly what I asked for. April was very clear and honest about the fact that getting hair back to its healthiest is a process, so I’m going to keep up with all the recommendations she gave me and look forward to seeing my hair get livelier with time!

I also ended up getting several small products, which I normally never do at salons. After leaving, I realized I hadn’t smelled the products due to wearing a mask. After smelling one product I decided it wasn’t really my thing, and I went back to the salon later that day to exchange it for a different product. The very kind person at the front desk - her name started with an L! - helped me find the other product April had recommended. I’m really happy I decided to go back and that they were so nice about the exchange because I’m liking the products so far.

P.S. My pandemic anxiety is very high and I get nervous about public places like this, but I felt perfectly safe and relaxed at Salon Flourish :)”
